The Great Commission in Matthew 28 is a mandate for every believer to make and multiply disciples. We encourage every member to be part of one of our gender-specific discipleship groups. These groups are designed to cultivate intimacy and accountability through prayer, study, and mutual growth. In addition to our discipleship groups, we encourage one-on-one discipleship, as well as participation in our full day of Sunday worship and our Wednesday night gatherings.
We desire to minister to our Cambrian Park community through meeting spiritual and physical needs. Our philosophy is to demonstrate our faith through our works as James 2 commands and to always pair it with a clear proclamation of the gospel, knowing that our neighbor’s deepest need is to be reconciled to a holy God through Christ alone. While outreach happens at an individual level, as each member is encouraged to meet the needs they see around them, we also collectively reach out to our community through service.
We take our calling very seriously to be witnesses for Christ in our backyard, city, "and to the end of the earth” as commanded in Acts 1:8 (ESV). CCC supports like-minded missionaries around the globe who boldly herald the gospel where it has yet to be heard. As John Piper has said, “There are only three kinds of people: goers, senders, and the disobedient.” By God’s grace, He will enable us to continue to prayerfully and faithfully support gospel partners abroad, as well as raise up future goers within our midst.
Every Sunday, following our fellowship luncheon, we provide Sunday school for our children from 1:30-2:30. The curriculum we use walks the children through a four-year program designed to increase their knowledge of the Bible, expose them to the gospel, and establish sound doctrine.
Our Faith & Practice seminars cover a wide range of topics and meet every other Wednesday, from 7:00-8:30pm, in the Sanctuary. We enjoy a bring-your-own-dinner together in the fellowship hall at 6:00 for anyone interested.
At CCC we love children and seek to have their hearts engaged and transformed by the love of Christ and the good news of the gospel. We do this best by equipping our parents to raise them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We encourage the little ones to see, experience, and learn how to worship God by actively engaging in our corporate gathering. For those in the process of training younger children, we offer a training room equipped with a live sermon video feed designed for parents to teach their children to sit and listen to the sermon quietly. We also provide a nursery room with childcare for children ages 3 and under during the sermon.
